So CrossFit reeled all the punters into competing in the Open last week and then in true CrossFit style with their mantra of “Constantly Varied” no doubt at the forefront of their mind they delivered a workout that entails possibly one of the most technical movements in the sport….SNATCH! Pure Genius!
The result? Facebook awash with comments, numerous conversations about the best way to handle the workout and of course a mad rush of people to learn the complexities of the snatch overnight!! Its been a brilliant few days that’s for sure!
I was personally very pleased that this workout popped up and reasonably happy with my result! What the open has now is a leader board that has been turned upside down and is perhaps starting to show who the real CrossFit athletes are, in the US Froning has leaped to the top of the pile with what can only be described as a super human effort that we saw in the demo video.
And so to week 3, for which the workout will be released Thursday morning local time! As always there has been a lot of talk of what it can be, with 7 minutes of burpees in week 1 and 10 minutes of snatch in week 2 surely week 3 will deliver a couplet or triplet……but who can really be sure?
